Journey through the beautifully decorated rooms, each capturing the spirit of Christmas from a different era — from Tudor festivities and Georgian elegance to the nostalgia of the 1960s and the warmth of today. Enjoy live music from Dulciana in the Great Chamber on 30 November and 21 December, with enchanting 16th-century melodies filling the Hall. 🌿 Seasonal food and drink Warm up in the tearoom with homemade soups, onepots, and festive bakes. Don’t forget your reusable cup for a discounted hot drink. The tearoom is open to all, with free parking on site — perfect for a winter meet-up. 🎁 Shopping in the Bothy Browse beautiful decorations, cards, and thoughtful gifts inspired by the places the National Trust cares for. It’s also the perfect spot to pick up or gift a National Trust membership for a whole year of adventures. ✨ Festive Storytelling with Mrs Claus Weekends from 22 November plus 22 December Settle into the Great Hall as Mrs Claus shares festive tales for all the family, then stop by the Letter to Santa Station to send your Christmas wishes to the North Pole. Under 5s can join drop-in storytelling sessions with Mrs Claus every Monday (10am–12pm) from 24 November. 🌸 Christmas Wreath Workshops – 6 & 7 December Create your own festive wreath with expert florists Rock & Wreath and Walter & Blossom.
