Born into a life of poverty, raised in a workhouse and sold into an apprenticeship, Oliver escapes to London where he is befriended by the charismatic Artful Dodger and recruited into Fagin’s band of pickpockets and thieves. After sinking into the grimy criminal underworld, Oliver is presented with an opportunity to change his fate… but will this be his chance to finally find a loving family and a place to call home? Jam packed with songs and dance, including traditional much-loved carols, folk tunes and original music, Deborah McAndrew’s dramatic and highly theatrical adaptation returns to Hull Truck Theatre in another enchanting and mesmerising production.
